One of our first treks into the Big Island brought us up this scenic Hwy. Who would have thought that parts of Hawaii would look so much like the English countryside?

Kohala Mountain

The sun was just coming up in this picture. I thought the clouds rolling over Kohala Mnt. were especially exotic looking with the new morning sun hitting them.

A Surfer Dude

We didn't see as many folks sufing as we would have liked but the waves hadn't come in good yet. And when they did the under tow was dangerous so you only saw a few brave souls out in the Big Blue.
This dude was surfing right off of a Northside State Park beach called Keokea Beach.
